Ann E. Merryfield

Ms. Merryfield focuses her practice on general business, title insurance, real property, legal malpractice, and class action litigation, and appellate work. She is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Puyallup Tribal Court, and the United States Supreme Court.
Ms. Merryfield received her undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago, with honors, phi beta kappa, and her law degree from Stanford Law School. Before coming to Seattle, she practiced at large law firms in Chicago and Boston, where she collaborated on a successful appeal to the United States Supreme Court, Rufo v. Inmates of Suffolk County, 502 U.S. 367 (1992).
She has practiced with the firm for over eighteen years, with breaks to raise children and to serve as the director of Wayfind (formerly Washington Attorneys Assisting Community Organizations) from 2006-2010. She is a dedicated community volunteer, and has served on the boards of several local nonprofit organizations.
